Mesocyclone (Demo)

You are a drone on a scorched dying planet, Gale, a violent climate to survive. Take off, fly, explore, and link structures to your network: weather stations, doppler, shelter, anything that might help you on your purpose. Beware the clouds, beware the winds, beware the Choices, follow the Orders.

Summary

Mesocyclone is a WORK IN PROGRESS 3D survival exploration game. It aims to simulate the climate and extreme weather of a whole planet and the flight of a small drone through it all. It aims to tell a story through the data you can gather from structures scattered across.

But so far we’ve only managed to make a small demo to playtest the gameplay loop and how engaging it is.

Feature-wise, the game already contains some good flight physics, for you, dear drone, who can fly, coupled with rudimentary gas ones which aim to generate some mild wind. Moreover, there’s a feedback system in the pause menu and some progress on breaking down how to actually simulate an entire climate (which will likely take a while to figure out).

Controls

You can find a manual and a quick controls reference chart in the game’s folder.
It is highly recommended to read through them and take your time messing around in figuring out how stuff works.
